Wheelie Days FAQs
General Questions:
What is Wheelie Days?
Wheelie Days is the UK's premier wheelie experience! Established in 2016, we offer highly reputable, safe and exhilarating wheelie training to riders of all skill levels.
Do I need any experience to participate?
You need to be able to ride a geared bike but that's it. Our events cater to complete beginners through to seasoned riders just looking to improve their wheelie skills. No prior experience of pulling wheelies of any kind is necessary.
Our instructors are available for one-to-one tuition/advice throughout the session.

What kind of bikes do you use?
We use lightly modified KTM Duke 390's specifically chosen and adapted for our method of wheelie training. These bikes prioritise both confidence and safety. Due to the method we teach seat height is irrelevant so our bikes are suitable for riders of all heights and builds.
What safety gear is provided?
We provide the motorcycles but NO riding gear is provided.
What happens if it rains on the day of my course?
We get wet. Rain is fine and the tyres we use are more than capable of handling wet conditions.
However, if leading up to your booking freak weather is forecast such as storms, high winds, ice or snow then for your safety (and ours) we reserve the right to postpone the course in advance but only if absolutely necessary. If we get caught with anything like that during an event we will have to sit it out and will be unable to provide a refund or an alternate date.

How many people are in each course?
We believe in personalised attention. Our courses are conducted in small groups, ensuring you receive the instructor's full focus and guidance.
What will I learn in the course?
Our courses cover everything you need to know about wheelies, from the basics of clutch control for the pop to rear brake and throttle control to achieve your perfect wheelie.
What if I don't manage to master the wheelie during the course?
You will, patience is key and Wheelie mastery takes practice! If you can ride a bike we can get you pulling wheelies. Our instructors will provide guidance and feedback throughout the course to help you progress as much as possible. We also offer additional advanced options for those who wish to come back to continue honing their skills.
Additional Questions:
What do I wear?
Appropriate protective clothing must be worn, i.e. race or 2 piece leathers, Kevlar Jeans, Gore-Tex or cordura fabric suits, helmet and gloves, & boots.
As clutch control is critical to success here we recommend either summer gloves or mx style fabric gloves.
Please refrain from wearing the leggings style Kevlar jeans. We've found from experience they offer little to no grip whilst on the bike and could ruin your experience**
We shouldn't need this part but in the hotter months participants expecting to ride in casual clothing of any kind because "it's boiling" will result in immediate exclusion.

Do I need a motorcycle license to participate?
Yes, a valid full motorcycle license, A2 or ACU license is required to participate in our events.. they will be checked on the day so if you don't have one you won't be able to participate and would not be eligible for a refund.
CBT's would be considered but please contact us first before booking so we can assess your experience.
